The Supreme Council of Information and Communication Technology (ictQATAR) is leading the strategic thinking and implementation of ICT initiatives in e-government, market development and knowledge management, e-education, e-health, e-inclusion, cyber security. Along with their latest event, Mudawanat: All About Blogging, which took place on Dec 12th, 2009 in Qatar (which we covered it through live video broadcasting and tweeting) ictQatar team launches Digital Qatar knowledge base platform to take additional burden on improving Qatar on the digital map.

Howaida Nadim writes that there is a large community of people interested in ICT and ICT-related issues in Qatar and Digital Qatar comes as an ictQatar initiative which will provide an online platform for genuine thoughts and conversations around everything ICT.

Digital Qatar is available in both Arabic (www.DigitalQatar.qa) and English (www.DigitalQatar.net) and represents one of the first blogs on technology available in Arabic.
