Going Mobile

Ok  so I have been visiting the Du Kiosk’s here in Dubai, UAE for quite some time now and on many occasions I could never find the new iPhone 4 in stock, it was always sold out. It was the same with Etisalat. That got me seriously thinking  about the future of this site, with a great number of people online who are consuming content and information online having a blog is no longer enough. We have to be where the users are and we have to provide our content in a very wide variety of platforms.

Now I don’t have the exact numbers of mobile users in the region, but I am going to assume from my visits to Du’s and Etisalat’s kiosk’s that they’re doing pretty well… For iPhone at least. And that would be a good start for us to start in the mobile realm, an iOS application for the iPhone and iPad, then maybe move on to other platforms such as the Blackberry and/or Android. However I doubt any of them have a strong online store in the MENA region such as the iTunes. But for now I think we will focus on providing you with an iOS application.

Having worked with top digital agencies in the MENA region for the past several of years I'm now looking now to venture on my own with small side projects in online, social and mobile. Things I like include: gaming, sports, technology, social media, start ups, funny things and reading about new bright ideas.
