After the buzz around Mircosoft launch of $80 million to $100 million campaign for Bing, the search engine it hopes will help it grab a bigger slice of the online ad market. Bing concept, brand, logo, objectives, and screenshots arrived and the launch is anticipated to be on June 1st.
I can tell you that Microsoft is aiming really BIG. Their corporate videos shows that they are looking change people behavior, from “Search Engines helps you search for it” to “Search Engine helps you make a decision”.
The company is focusing on specific improvements in the areas of travel, shopping and products, local and health — all highly commercial areas. It has fully integrated into the search engine Farecast, a recently acquired travel search engine that “predicts” the likelihood of flight prices going up or down. And it has made improvements to its maps functions, letting users omit the navigational minutiae of local streets that often clutter other services’ directions.
Once launched, I will be reviewing the site and specifically checking for semantic web elements and Arabic interface availability, you can subscribe to my RSS feed in order not to miss it.
The website url will be www.bing.com, you can discover more about it by check the video found on discover bing
@tariq True, bing.com is giving variations in search results, but it might not be accurate at the time being. I believe this is the 2nd level of Live Search technology and after releasing Bing from Beta this technology will become reliable in search.
@Rabe’e I agree with you that google gives us the result, but this technology will help a user finds and makes decision accordingly. Check this video mentioned above which will show you how final official bing.com will help you make a decision and not just search. This is our aim in supporting it at the time being. Also, don’t forget how many times you try to search on google.com and re-inserting the terms several times again and again to find it despite the search result claimed by google.com 1,000,000 plus….
Cheers,
Tarek
I really like the variation it gives when you search for something. as for me i like it
After checking it, relevance is thief key method of searching, but looking for my name or any specific word, won’t give me what I need to see, and that’s what gives Google an advatage on Bing
