Wataniya Airways, Kuwait’s premium service airline, announced today that it will provide a new premium travel option to Jeddah with daily scheduled flights to the popular Saudi city. Chairman and Managing Director of Wataniya Airways, Mr. Abdulsalam Al Bahar, announced that proceedings for this new route were going ahead as planned and that Wataniya Airways is expecting the formal confirmation notice from the Saudi Civil Aviation Authority imminently.

The announcement came during the official opening ceremony of Wataniya Airways’ newest ticketing sales outlet at Discovery Mall. The airline will commence its operations to Jeddah just in time for the holy month of Ramadan starting August 19th.

The new Discovery Mall sales office at the heart of Kuwait City provides Wataniya Airways’ guests with full ticketing services, increasing the airlines’ ticketing locations to three; Wataniya Airways’ headquarters at Kuwait International Airport, and Sheikh Saad Terminal in addition to the latest Discovery Mall office. The opening ceremony was inaugurated by retired Lt. General Abdullah AlFaris, Governor of Hawalli and the Capital’s Acting Governor, who was joined by the Chairman and Managing Director of Wataniya Airways Abdulsalam Al Bahar and senior executives from the airline.

Kuwait’s newest airline will provide First Class and Premium Economy Class seats to business and leisure travelers between Kuwait and Jeddah, the second largest city in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the gateway to visitors and pilgrims to the holy city of Mecca. “We are very pleased to be able to officially open our new sales office in this brand new mall to provide more convenient options for our guest”, said Mr. Abdulsalam Al Bahar, adding that Wataniya Airways is extremely delighted to provide Kuwaiti travelers with a premium travel option to visit Jeddah, the airline’s eighth destination.
Al Bahar concluded “at Wataniya Airways we’re all about providing ease and comfort to our guests, and we believe that the two announcements of the new branch and Jeddah’s route are a true testament to our people’s continuing dedication in that regard”.

The new branch reflects what has been the strongest pillar of Wataniya Airways’ offering, its premium services. “Our message is clear, and that is to offer our guests an enjoyable flying experience through focusing our attention on the smallest detail. This means that we’d like our guests to notice the difference not only from the moment that they set foot in Sheikh Saad Terminal or on the aircraft, but also when they are buying their ticket from one of our sales outlets and I believe that we have clearly achieved this through our new venue,” said Wataniya Airways CEO George Cooper. “We are delighted to have partnered with Knet to provide more payment options for our guests to purchase their tickets online and in our outlets.”

Wataniya Airways Discovery Mall working hours are from 10AM to 10PM, other outlets available for Wataniya Airways’ guests include the company headquarters at Kuwait International Airport and at Sheikh Saad Terminal, the airline’s exclusive flight hub.
