Seedcamp Week is an intensive week-long event held in London every September and is targeted at young entrepreneurs from across EMEA, has annouced the teams that have been chosen as finalists.
Seedcamp’s regional scope also continues to grow strength to strength with five finalist hailing from CEE (Poland, Hungary, Croatia, Romania, Estonia), two from the Middle East (Jordan, Israel), teams from Austria, Germany, Belgium, France and from all across the UK including Scotland, North England, West Country, Midlands and Cambridge.
Our Arab and Middle East representative was Talasim team who manages Talasim.com, a leading user-generated content platform in the region (articles, images, and videos) but with a twist- everything should be fun.
If Talasim team wins among 5 other teams in the next 5 days, the funding decision to invest up to €50K each in 5 teams for a small equity stake (5%-10%) and under go 3 months review – call it probationary period. The goal of this 3-month period is to help grow and nurture the teams by providing the same level of intensity and in-depth focus on developing the product and business. During the course of the three months, the groups will have an opportunity to take advantage of the same ecosystem of experts. Additionally, during the three months, Seedcamp will also help with all the paperwork of getting Talasim team company set up properly.
Six weeks into the project, Seedcamp will have a Demo Day where teams can show their products to the other groups from Seedcamp and a select group of investors. And eleven weeks into the project, Seekcamp will host an Investor Day where startups can present to potential investors.
