For The First Time: Dubai Gets An Ambassador For The Webby Awards

the_webby_awards_logoThe Webby Awards is a leading international award honoring excellence on the internet, including websites, interactive advertising, online films and videos, and mobile websites. Giving internet innovators a chance to deliver one of its famous five-word speeches worldwide, The Webby Awards kicked off its 14th annual call for entries at www.webbyawards.com appointing for the first time an official representation in the Middle East.

Herve Cuviliez, a technology entrepreneur and CEO of Kuv Capital – a growth consulting and early stage investment firm in internet sector, has been appointed as International Ambassador of UAE.

Herve will be responsible for promoting The Webby Awards for the 14th annual call for entries this year as well as the rest of the year for the following annual calls. Herve write us that he has one objective which is helping Middle East agencies to get The Webby Awards and show the rest of the world that this region needs to be seriously considered on the Digital Industry map.

Herve will help through The Webby Awards to give a chance for regional designers to marketing strategists to acclaimed actors and directors a chance to shine in the global Webby spotlight and pushes region’s digital standards and benchmarks forward.

The 14th Annual Webby Awards nominees will be announced in April 2010, and winners will be honored at a ceremony in New York City on June 14, 2010.

It’s good to know, the 13th Annual Webby Awards received nearly 10,000 entries from over 60 countries. The award’s season was capped by a star-studded gala in New York City hosted by Saturday Night Live’s Seth Meyers.
