Qatar News Agency (QNA) in cooperation with the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) will conduct a training program targeting young Qatari journalists, who are working with Qatari media institutions.
The five-day training programme will cover fields like electronic journalism and writing news articles for websites. It is seen as part of QNA”s plans to provide local journalists with needed vocational training and developing their knowledge and scientific capabilities.
Ahmed Mohamed Al Buainain, Director of Public Relations, QNA, said that among the tasks assigned by the Emiri decree which regulates QNA were to provide, rehabilitate and train media persons and increase their capabilities by organizing regular training and development programmes.
He added that QNA has been working with the ICFJ, a non-profit professional organization that promotes quality journalism worldwide, to provide related training course. The course will be held at the QNA premises.
