Olive Global has developed a virtual transport portal for the recently-launched Dubai Metro, an initiative of the Roads and Transport Authority of Dubai. The website provides an insight into every aspect of the Dubai Metro, replete with an interactive virtual tour of the entire Metro experience as well as videos of trip scenarios pertaining to all kinds of travelers in the city.
Olive Global has developed an array of interesting features that make the Dubai Metro virtual transport portal highly interactive and user-friendly. The virtual tour has been created by integrating 3D graphics with high-tech flash animation. The simulated 3D environment allows users to have a ‘real time’ experience of traveling in the Dubai Metro. Based on the four Metro station themes of Fire, Water, Air and Earth, the virtual environment allows you to explore and travel in and around lifelike versions of these stations using Metro trains.
The website also incorporates exciting flash-based games that test users’ knowledge of the Dubai Metro. The Trip Scenarios section caters to all classes of Metro users – office-goers, students, friends, the differently-abled, shoppers, tourists, housewives, etc. – and helps them identify the best ways of using different means of public transport.
